SLIDE / SHOW: How projected photography informed the evolution of Chinese contemporary art

Ahead of the major exhibition opening of Slide / Show at UCCA Beijing, I contributed an article for the British Journal of Photography reflecting on the significance of the slideshow in reform-era China and how performance, projection and photography hold a unique place within the development history of Chinese contemporary art.
